MEDRANO, Alex, of Flint, age 54, died peacefully, Sunday, September 18, 2016 at his home with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 3 PM Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Plumb-Smith Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 1-3 PM Friday at the funeral home. Alex was born in Lapeer, Michigan, May 26, 1962. His favorite song was "Hey Babe, Que' Paso', by the Texas Tornados. Alex loved spending his weekend watching his favorite team, The Michigan State Spartans, and his favorite NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart. Alex is survived by his parents, Bonifacio and Erlinda Medrano of Byron; his children, Brandi (Michael) Monreal, and Amber Medrano, and Alejandro "Chico" (Christina) Medrano, all of Flint, and Cheyanne Medrano of Texas; ex-wife, Rose Marie Medrano; 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; 5 sisters, Rosa, Raquel, Janet, Margarita, and Olivia; 4 brothers, Barney, Angel, Gilbert, and Benjamin; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
